Having grown up on the Isle of Skye, Wilf considers himself to be a true highlander: He attended both primary and secondary school surrounded by mountains, trees and sheep. Upon leaving school, following his sixth year, he left the island for sunny St. Andrews, where he studied Physics.
Returning to the Isle of Skye in 2011, like many of his peers Wilf began searching for a job. He obtained an interview with the Managing Director of Sitekit Solutions Ltd, Campbell Grant, and during a two week work-experience placement endeavoured to create a job for himself; fortunately, he was successful.
As a business development officer for a small, agile company working in a dynamic field (eHealth), Wilf has been lucky enough to witness the benefits that a single individual's entrepreneurial spirit can bring: Sitekit is developing a reputation as a high-quality provider of innovative eHealth solutions within Scotland, the UK, and now Europe; Wilf likes to think he has contributed to that success. His ambition is to develop his skill-set in such a way that high-quality strategic growth is achieved consistently within an organisation. Wilf is fully confident that participation in the Saltire Foundation's Fellowship Programme will help him develop these skills, and looks forward to applying the knowledge gained to Sitekit on his return from Boston, and growing a truly global business based in the heart of Scotland.
