Mike graduated as a graphic designer in 1999 and quickly climbed the ranks of the UK's fastest growing print & design franchise, becoming the Manager of their flagship London office at 23 and subsequently Regional Development Manager for 40 franchises across the south of England. He played a pivotal role in the company's growth, working across sales, marketing, new business, training and operations.
For the last 8 years Mike has worked in a number of award-winning design agencies in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, where he's developed a wide range of skills working in client management, marketing and business development roles. He's an accomplished project manager with particular experience in managing complex communication projects, a successful business development manager and a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
Shortly after securing his place on the Fellowship Mike had his potential recognised further when he won a fully funded scholarship from the Scottish Government.
After 4 months of entrepreneurial learning at Babson College in Boston and briefly in China, Mike is back in Scotland and has been tasked with delivering a high-profile project for Springfield Properties. The project has a number of crucial deliverables that will enable the Scottish house builder to continue to grow, all of which are aligned with the Scottish Government's objectives to build zero carbon homes that meet the incoming 2016 building regulations for Scottish homes.
