Craig is a Chartered Global Management Accountant with fifteen years, multi-site, senior management experience of the hospitality, retail and financial services sectors.

Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Hotel and Catering Business from the University of Huddersfield, Craig has recently added to his strategy level experience by undertaking an MBA at the University of Strathclyde Business School. Craig has chosen to write his MBA thesis on the subjects that he is most passionate about, those being entrepreneurial activity, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility.

Craig has experienced two successful business start-up ventures to-date. A £35m Lottery funded visitor centre and conference venue in Edinburgh and a branded, internationally recognised, city centre hotel and conference venue in South London, England.

More recently, Craig has co-founded 'Travel Vicariously' and a shared decision retail venture called 'SYN', two separate internet based business ventures started whilst studying at Babson college, Boston, USA in 2012 (http://blogs.babson.edu/news/2012/12/14/startup-event-leads-to-real-business-for-global-group-of-babson-students/).

Craig aims to build on and leverage his experience to date to develop new venture opportunities, either within the retail, hospitality or social entrepreneurial sectors.

Craig believes in hard work, attention to detail and in 'going the extra mile' to exceed customer expectation. Craig values loyalty, integrity and an ability to deliver, both individually and as part of a team.

Craig is a member of the board of Craft Scotland and Chair of the Canny Wee Investment Club. In 2013, Craig will be undertaking a three month project to commercialise 'sa.FIRE' a 'cloud' secure information sharing software product developed by Napier University, Edinburgh, Scotland.
