Nick is an experienced Operations leader with William Grant & Sons Distillers. Having been with the business for over 5 years he has been heavily involved in the commissioning, operation and expansion of a pioneering Anaerobic Reactor process at the distillery and has gained vast experience in renewable energy processes in the past 5 years. He has core skills in FMCG production, project delivery and people development. He has trained and developed a highly skilled team of operators to run the facility and Nick has also gained experience in large scale Whisky and Gin production processes during his time at William Grant & Sons Distillers.
Nick graduated with a degree in Forensic Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde in 2006 and his work with William Grant & Sons was recognised in 2012 when he won a place on the prestigious Saltire Fellowship. This four month program combined entrepreneurship classes at Babson College in Massachusetts with various projects in the Boston area. During the Saltire Fellowship Nick was heavily involved with two start-up companies and helped them find a route-to-market for their respective products. Returning to Scotland Nick is focused on applying the learnings from the Saltire Fellowship to his role with William Grant & Sons Distillers,continuing to develop his skill-set and take on new challenges.
