Born and raised in the south side of Glasgow. Amina completed a BSc (hons) in Technology and Business Studies and an MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship, both from the University of Strathclyde. Amina has worked with various public and private enterprises, charities and not-for-profits; with a view to identify potential opportunities for growth and development as well as create sustainable value.
Now a Saltire Fellow, a Babson Alum and a Power of Youth Fellow; Amina aspires to continue to create positive changes within each ecosystem she operates in. The Saltire Foundation has significantly contributed to her focus, personal development and ability to think globally as well as contribute to an ever increasing worldwide network. Amina hopes to leverage this network, to drive change with innovative ideas and enterprise solutions for the Scottish community and at large the World. Ultimately Amina wants to influence the world of social entrepreneurship with a wider aim of stimulating and driving change. Her strengths lie in idea generation, identifying opportunities, networking, innovation and planning, business development, project management and team building.
Amina recently co-founded her own business called Kinnect2 and is based in the Entrepreneurial Spark Glasgow hatchery. Kinnect2 aims to be a universal smart social marketing platform, that engages brands with their loyal customers on a feedback and reward basis, whereby both parties gain value from each others interactions. Currently Kinnect2 to is developing the beta version of the platform and hope to launch soon... watch this space :)
